03 — What I do

I start by understanding what you already have

Before pages, layouts or features: what you do, how you do it, and why you have chosen to do it that way.

01

How the work goes

a

Understanding what is already there

A brand is not only a logo. It is in the way people describe their work, the decisions they make and the reasons the organization exists. I begin by listening and looking closely at the material you already use.

b

Finding the central thread

An organization has many stories, services and ideas; a website cannot give them all the same weight. Together we separate what is central from what is secondary — and what does not need to be on the website at all.

c

Giving it a form

I shape that direction into a website where content, visual language and experience belong together. Not a style applied from outside, but an expression of what is already there.

d

Working together

You know the organization from the inside; I bring an outside perspective. I share the work as it develops, so we can test whether it is accurate as well as whether it looks right.

02

This may suit you if

  • Your work is clear in your mind but hard to explain to someone new.
  • Your website describes what you do but does not represent who you are.
  • Your information is scattered and people have to assemble the picture.

The organization does not need to arrive with every answer. Part of the work is understanding what is already clear, what remains uncertain, and what the website can communicate honestly now.

03

What the work may become

A focused one-page website
A website with space for different services, ideas or areas of work
A clearer structure and new language for an existing website
A visual direction that reflects the character of the organization
A gradual starting point that can grow when the organization is ready

The size and form of the website follow what needs to be expressed. More pages do not necessarily create more understanding.

04

Begin with a conversation

Tell me about your work and what has brought you to this point. We can begin with what you do, how you do it and why it matters to you.
