On Instagram, I put words and images together to talk about emotions and everyday life. I hope someone reading will pause and recognise a little of their own experience in what I’ve shared.

A little more
about me.
I’m Anna, and I live in a small village near the Costa Brava, not far from the sea. I design, write, and develop websites and apps. I work with words, images and technology to tell stories. I like being there as an idea takes shape, from talking about what it could be to having something we can read, look at or use.
Some of that work is for other people. Some is my own: the stories I share on Instagram, the essays I write on Substack, and the illustrations you’ll find here. Those are a big part of who I am, too.
The stories
I want to tell.
I care a lot about having a place for my own voice. Instagram and Substack give me two different ways to share what I’m thinking about, and to connect with people through words and images.
And sometimes, a longer story.
On Substack, I give myself more room. I write about love, harm and boundaries, drawing on my own life and the questions I keep coming back to. An essay lets me stay with a thought and explore what makes it difficult to put into words.

There’s room here for imaginary worlds and curious characters, too. In my illustrations, I explore colour and stories through images: flowers, little ghosts with books, and everyday scenes that take on a life of their own.

I’ve been working in visual communication for more than twenty years, in quite a few different settings.
I started in television and advertising in Barcelona, then worked with production companies in Mexico. Later, I was a Media Producer and Art Director at Bloomberg in Singapore. Along the way, I also co-founded a motorcycle travel agency in Germany.
Looking back, I can see how much of that experience I still draw on. I think about the story, the way it looks and the person it’s meant for. I also think about the practical work of getting it made. Writing, design and production have all given me a way into that.
What I bring
with me now.
That’s what I enjoy about making websites now: I can follow an idea through the words, the design and the build. Sometimes changing a sentence helps me see how a whole page should fit together. Sometimes trying out a page shows me what the writing still needs to explain.
When I worked on Dr Martha Alicia Tronco Rosas’s website, I spent time understanding how her research, teaching and career connected. That helped me decide what to write, how to organise the pages and how to connect her projects and publications. It’s a good example of how I like to work: getting to know someone’s work, then helping them share it.

I created TEG-Blue to explore emotions, behaviour and relationships through a framework and tools for reflection.
